London City Airport works closely with local charities, sharing time and experience, and raising funds and awareness.
Since 1997 London City Airport has chosen Richard House Children’s Hospice as its charity of the year. The hospice cares for children and young people suffering from conditions that reduce their life expectancy. The airport’s relationship with Richard House has grown considerably and numerous events are used to raise funds for the hospice, including the airport’s annual Fun Day.
